Review methodology

Every product review and comparison article on this site follows a documented testing process. This page describes how that process works.

Selection criteria

We review tools that our audience is actively searching for or that represent meaningful advances in AI capability. We don't review products solely because a vendor asks us to.

Testing process

Each review includes the specific product version tested, the date of testing, the environment used, and the criteria evaluated. We run real tasks, not canned demos. When possible, we compare results across multiple tools in the same category.

Scoring and recommendations

We don't assign arbitrary numerical scores. Instead, we describe strengths, weaknesses, and which use cases each tool fits best. Recommendations always include caveats about who the tool is and isn't suitable for.

Price information

Pricing data is checked on the date noted in each review. Prices change frequently — we note the check date so readers know when the information was last verified.

Affiliate relationships
